Why would a 17 year old girl hate her mother so much that she got her Arrested?

Have you considered that there may be more to the story than what your friend has told you? You should remember that there are two sides to every story. You have your friends side, the police are trying to get the whole story. Children are not usually removed from their parents custody without good cause and plenty of evidence. The child must have had bruises or said something to cause all three children to be removed. I wouldn't be surprised if the mom actually DID hurt the little one and is now trying to blame the older daughter. This family sounds like it is very messed up. It is probably good that the authorities are involved.
